After an extensive process, a team from AdvancED - a global accreditation organization serving more than 32,000 educational institutions in 72 countries - has recommended that DeKalb County School District (DCSD) retain its accreditation through June 30, 2022. The AdvancED review team made special mention of two "powerful practices." The first was our Superintendent, Dr. R. Stephen Green. "The superintendent is a visionary leader who is passionate, supportive, inclusive, instructionally-focused, and dedicated to making decisions that are in the best interest of students." The second "powerful practice" was Coralwood Center. "Coralwood Center is a highly effective, specialized learning inclusion center that serves preschool students through a research-based educational model with a heightened focus on the Autism Spectrum." Join us in congratulating the Coralwood team! -From Coralwood ChalkTalk
