Georgia's set of high-quality, research-based early learning standards for children birth to age five called the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards. The GELDS are a continuum of skills, behaviors, and concepts that children develop throughout this time of life. They are divided into age groups and serve as a framework for learning. The GELDS are aligned with the Head Start Child Outcomes Framework, the CCGPS for K-12, and the Work Sampling System Assessment.

Georgia's Pre-K Program is a state lottery funded educational program for all age eligible four-year-old children in Georgia. The purpose of Georgia's Pre-K Program is to prepare children for success in Kindergarten and later school years.

Handwriting Without Tears (HWOT) is designed to meet the developmental needs of students learning how to write. HWOT provides a tactile, hands-on approach to handwriting. Students will learn letter formation through visual, tactile, auditory, and kinesthetic activities presented in each lesson.

The Get Georgia Reading Campaign is a population-focused collaboration of more than 100 public and private partners. These partners are working together to ensure that all children in Georgia learn to read proficiently by the end of third grade so they can read to learn throughout school and life.

Abcya.com is a teacher-created website which provides fun and educational games and apps for kids to use under the guidance of their parents and teachers. The games do not collect personal information and children and adults are able to visit the site and play the games without providing any personal information to ABCya.com.

GoNoodle helps teachers and parents get kids moving with short interactive activities. Desk-side movement helps kids achieve more by keeping them engaged and motivated throughout the day. GoNoodle provides many different options for short or long movement breaks that get kids up and moving. Some are dances, some are songs, some simulate running, jumping, and some are calming breathing exercises.

Splash Math is an educational program that provides comprehensive coverage of the curriculum with over 300 skills for Grades K-5. The use of animations, graphics and games make children master the basic math concepts like Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication, Algebra and Geometry in a fun and interactive way.

PBS Parents is a trusted resource that’s filled with information on child development and early learning. It also serves as a parent's window to the world of PBS KIDS, offering access to educational games and activities inspired by PBS KIDS programs.

PBS KIDS is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children through curriculum-based entertainment. With a 360-degree approach towards learning and reaching children, PBS KIDS leverages the full spectrum of media and technology to build knowledge, critical thinking, imagination and curiosity.

Sproutonline.com offers educational games can be sorted by character or type of activity such as Creativity & Self-Expression, Fine Motor Skills, Just for Fun, Literacy Building & Storytelling, Numbers & Counting, etc. Creative activities include sign language, stretches, and making your own cloud. The site also offers an extensive selection of videos of Sprout shows, including Caillou, Sesame Street, Panwapa, The Good Night Show and many more. A special Sprout for Parents section offers parents access to articles, videos and an online parenting community.

Featuring one of the largest collections of free books for children, theInternational Children's Digital Library has made it so that anyone can access their books, even without registering. Users can search for books according to language, age level and genre. You can sign up for an account where you can bookmark books and save your favorites for later reading.

SesameStreet.org offers a variety of tools and resources to help kids grow smarter, stronger, and kinder. You can find an assortment of educational games that can be sorted by character and focuses on enhancing children's skills in creative expression, fine motor, counting, letter sounds, making words, etc. There is also a special section for families to access articles, videos, and more.

Children can play engaging and fun games featuring characters from their favorite Nick Jr. show while teaching math, reading, and social emotional skills.

Reading to children has been repeatedly shown to improve their reading, writing and communication skills, logical thinking, concentration and general academic aptitude… as well as inspire a love of reading. The SAG-AFTRA Foundation records well-known actors reading children’s books and makes graphically dynamic videos so that children around the world can be read to with just the click of a Storyline Online video book image.

ABCmouse.com helps kids learn to read through phonics, and teaches lessons in math, social studies, art, music, and much more.

Funbrain, created for kids ages preschool through grade 8, offers more than 100 fun, interactive games that develop skills in math, reading, and literacy. Plus, kids can read a variety of popular books and comics on the site, including Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Amelia Writes Again, and Brewster Rocket.

The website is equally as fun as the activities featured in their monthly print magazine. Resources include animated stories, a poetry maker and a section where kids can send in their work and be featured on the website.

NASA Kids Club is an excellent site for "kids" of all ages and provides an abundance of information, images, and interesting things to do on astronomy and the space sciences. The site's more useful and interesting features include: learning more about the crew on the International Space Station and pictures of astronauts, scientific instruments, space, etc.

Funbrain Jr. ("A Fun Place to Learn") helps preschoolers and kindergarteners jumpstart their journey of learning with engaging games, stories and printables. Kids love playing and learning with Funbrain Jr., and you'll love that they're building math, early literacy and problem solving skills, while also developing important computer skills.

BrainPOP Jr. provides animated, curriculum-based content for K–3 students covering topics within Science, Writing, Social Studies, Health, Reading, and Math. Each animated movie has leveled quizzes, games, activities, and lesson ideas that develop students’ critical thinking and inquiry skills.

BrainPOP engages students through animated movies, learning games, interactive quizzes, primary source activities, concept mapping, and more. The resources include BrainPOP Jr. (K-3), BrainPOP, BrainPOP Español, and, for English language learners, BrainPOP ESL. They cover topics within Science, Math, Social Studies, English Language Arts, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Music, Health, Reading, and Writing.

The GKIDS Readiness Check is a new component of the Georgia Kindergarten Inventory of Developing Skills (GKIDS). The goal of the Readiness Check is to provide information about the skills of students in the following areas: English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Foundations of School Success. The primary purpose of the GKIDS Readiness Check is to highlight knowledge and skills critical for student success in learning and to guide classroom instruction. The GKIDS Readiness Check will provide information that allows kindergarten teachers to individualize student instruction.
